One of Pinoy Dog-Lover’s supporters, Bow & Wow, is having the Paw It Forward campaign this season. Through a series of programs, you and your pet will be able to help another animal in need. First up is the Petparazzi Video Upload Contest. Simply purchase food products from Bow & Wow to join and you’ll help sponsor the spaying/neutering of the beloved rescue animals of CARA Welfare Philippines.

Bow & Wow Petparazzi is back! Simply like our Facebook page and join Petparazzi on video contest. Upload your baby’s cutest moments according to the theme of the week and get a chance to win the grand prize of P10,000 worth of gift certificates! One cat and one dog video will each win the grand prize.

Winning is quite simple. The videos with the most like and votes shall be declared the winners.

Encourage your friends and family to vote for your beloved pooch or feline. Votes are earned through food and treats purchased from Bow & Wow from November 21, 2011 until January 23, 2012. For every P100 spent, they get 1 vote for their favorite video, all the have to do is enter the POS and OR number (ie. BWGB10000000016) in the field indicated for the promo code. ONLY FOOD AND TREAT PURCHASES get points.

This video contest is for a very important cause close to our hearts. Bow & Wow is partnering with CARA Welfare Philippines for the Spay and Neuter campaign. For every 15 videos uploaded, 1 cat/dog shall be spayed and neutered. And at the end of the promo, the total number of animals spayed/neutered shall be matched by Bow & Wow. This promo is part of Bow & Wow’s campaign, Paw It Forward.

• You need to be a current Philippine resident. In other words, you need to be currently living in the Philippines from today until February 2012 and beyond.
• You must have a mailing address.
• If you are 18 years old or below, your parent / guardian must give their consent for you to join. You must provide us with the contact info of your parent / guardian so we can verify.
• Each person joining the raffle is entitled to a maximum of three (3) raffle entries.
• Each raffle entry will be given a corresponding unique number. These numbers will be the basis for the electronic raffle draw generated through random.org.

Step 4: Apply for raffle e-tickets
Complete and submit this online application form (sorry, form is no longer available!) for raffle e-tickets. You will be notified via email if you qualified or not, and if you have one, two, or three raffle e-tickets. You will be given a chance to provide correct info if the data you provided cannot be verified so you can qualify for all three.

Step 5: Wait for your raffle e-tickets via email

Congratulations to PAWS for the wonderful event! Shantee didn’t win (my dog was bitter, but don’t mind her, she likes the limelight a little too much!), but it was so much fun nonetheless. Next year, I swear I’ll prepare for this! I’ve been so busy with the preparations for our subdivision’s trick or treat that I didn’t have time to make Shantee a costume. Didn’t really matter, my dog loved having her photo and video taken so much that she didn’t seem to mind her costume She just loved it whenever cameras were pointed at her

This coming October 26 (that’s on Sunday!), Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will be having its annual grand Halloween fund-raising event at Eastwood Central Plaza on at 3pm. Registration starts at 130pm, program starts at 3pm. There will be a P250 registration fee which will go to the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center.

With all the Halloween hoo-la-ba-loo happening here at our house (my family and I are preparing decors for our village’s Halloween Trick or Treat event this coming Saturday), I just hope I find the time to create a Halloween costume for Shantee. She just LOVES dressing up!

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), in cooperation with Eastwood City, invites everyone to SCAREDY CATS & DOGS, a grand Halloween fund-raising event to be held at the Eastwood Central Plaza on October 26 (Sunday) at 3pm.

Now on its 5th year, kids & pet-lovers can once again dress up themselves and their pets and compete in the fun costume contest. Categories are as follows:

There will be FREE face painting for kids, fun Halloween games and the much-awaited Trick-Or-Treat around Eastwood City.

Registration starts at 130pm, program starts at 3pm.

The P250 registration fee will go to the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center, a temporary shelter for more than 100 dogs & cats rescued from cruelty or neglect. Volunteers work hard to rehabilitate these animals with the ultimate goal of finding new loving homes for them so that they can get a second chance in life. The facility is solely dependent on donations and fund raising activities such as this to keep it running.

So celebrate Halloween with your pets and help make a difference in the lives of the animals in the PAWS Shelter. =)

Email a high-resolution file photo of your pet to philpaws@yahoo. com together with the following details- Name of owner, address, telephone and mobile numbers, Name of Pet, type of pet, breed of pet, age and sex of pet. Theme of the contest is “Pinoy Pet Superstar” so make sure to submit a photo that shows your pet in his/her most glamorous or Hollywood / “pa-star” pose. Deadline of submission of entries is October 18, 2006. Winners will be awarded on October 21 during the Furry Tales main program (see #3 below).
