Back from hiatus!

I found it quite hard to blog here again ever since I wrote my previous entry about Sheero visiting me in a dream. I don’t know why… I guess I just really, really miss her. Somehow, I felt that anything I would write on this blog would not even be at par with what I wrote about her.

But then I realized that putting this blog on hiatus for such reason isn’t something Sheero would have wanted me to do. Sheero and I started this blog together (she was my dog model) for the simple purpose of giving her canine relatives a voice and give ourselves (and dog-lovers alike) a little home on the World Wide Web.

Reminding myself of this blog’s purpose somehow inspired me to write again. Sheero would have wanted me, Shantee, Harry and Choknat to continue what we started.

So yes, you can expect regular posts from me here again

Photo day Sunday: “Looking forward”

I’m redesigning this blog soon, so I thought of adding a new site feature as well: Photo Day Sunday. I was just going through my offline photo archive, and I realized that I just have a lot of dog photos just waiting to be published. So I thought I’d share them, one post at a time, every Sunday.

Let’s start with an old photo of Sheero and Tootie I really liked… Sheero and Tootie: Looking forward

You see, Sheero and Tootie used to be great friends when Sheero was still alive. Tootie was older, so when Sheero came along, Tootie took her under her wing. She would defend Sheero whenever other dogs would try to fight with her—I think Tootie knew Sheero was at a disadvantage; Sheero was our smallest dog before Shantee came along.

Ok fine, it wasn’t a semi-hiatus—it was a full-fledged one. I had really no idea how to go about the direction of this blog, but I just didn’t have the heart to let it rot. So there. I’m back from hiatus (well, sorta… kinda…), and I’m just here to blog about my dogs, other people’s dogs, and dogs in general.

One of my blogger friends, Noemi, has a new Boxer. Her family wanted to get a dog after a 7-year “dog abstinence” (or “dogstinence” for short) for added security at their new house. Being so used to my furry critters, I’m really not that fond of short-furred dogs (sorry Jayvee! Hehe but Hondo is cute you know!). But Noemi’s pic of those cute baby Boxers just made my heart melt. They’re adorable!

We’re on semi-hiatus!

Ok, there you have it… I finally said it. This blog is officially on semi-hiatus. By “semi” I mean, I’ll probably still post a few entries every now and then. But until I finish this custom theme I’m working on for this blog, I won’t be doing much update. I can’t help it, sorry. I really feel uncomfortable blogging while using somebody else’s theme creation. It’s just a pet peeve of mine.

Anyway, I already have the design (more or less). I’ll just have to make it into a WordPress theme. So it won’t be long. Promise

And hello indeed. The title is overused (every single default installation of WordPress has this), but I really think it best describes what this post is all about: Pinoy Dog-Lover saying hello to the world!

Welcome to the Pinoy Dog-Lover blog!

At a glance, I would think it’s pretty obvious what this blog will be all about: DOGS. I love dogs, and I would like to share my experiences with my pooches to the world. Before anything though… I am NOT a vet. So please don’t even think of asking me for remedies on your dogs’ problems.

Anyway, I have a lot in store for this blog so please do come back regularly for updates! If you’d like to know more about this site, go here.
