Pinoy Dog-Lover

Yay! This is one of the best news I got this year. Frankly, it hasn’t been a very good holiday—it could have been better, for my health at least. I’ve also received one of the worse news a dog-lover would hear from her doctor: my asthma has resurfaced I have to keep an inhaler with me at all times, and Shantee can’t sleep on my pillow anymore (where her fur is too close to my face).

I’m so happy to hear that Iams Home 4 the Holidays exceeded their 1 million adoption mark. As of writing, 1,088,506 pets have been adopted I am strongly opposed to euthanasia, and I can’t help but be happy that more than a million pets are saved from this and found themselves a place to call home.

Congratulations to all those who have been part of this campaign. Hope you guys have another great adoption year in 2008!

I started Pinoy Dog-Lover back in October 2006 with one thing in mind: Give my furry best friends their own little nook in the World Wide Web. But like any other blogs, Pinoy Dog-Lover has evolved since then. From a mere “this is me” kind of blog, I’ve eventually started focusing on important dog issues and topics relevant to the Filipino dog-lover.

As much as possible, I try to cover stuff that would be relevant to all Filipinos—both here and abroad. So when I received a head’s up on Iams’ Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption campaign, I jumped at the opportunity to take part in helping spread the word to Filipinos abroad.

Iam’s Home 4 the Holidays campaign aims to have 1 million pets adopted in various participating countries from North America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. With the help of Desperate Housewives TV star Felicity Huffman, the program hopes to give loving homes to these animals in need starting last October till January of early next year. (more…)
